What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
If you contact us via one of our contact forms or by email, e.g. for information requests, we store the personal data provided by you in this connection for the purpose of processing your request, fulfilling a contract, carrying out pre-contractual measures, enabling our free service offer (e.g. media advice) or for sending interesting offers and information. Mandatory fields are marked as such. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective contact form.
Google reCAPTCHA
Our website uses Google reCAPTCHA. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google also complies with certain legal frameworks relating to the transfer of data, such as the European Union (EU)-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks. In order to effectively implement the strict European data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.
The purpose of this function is to avoid automated data entry on our website. Google reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor using various features such as mouse movements and time spent on the page to distinguish whether the current visitor is a human being or a machine. For this purpose, information is transferred without further separate instructions. This tells Google that our website has been accessed using your IP address.
This data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. As the operator of the website, we have a legitimate interest in preventing the misuse and spying out of our offers through automated input. You can find Google’s current privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Detailed information about Google reCAPTCHA can be found at the following address: https://www.google.com/recaptcha.
